the monsoon bassoon

N73
A few gentle strums of the guitar while the cymbal is gently caressed, then follows half a bass line... then the bass line from Rothko's 'Seventyseven A' cuts through. We know this tune don't we? Well not like this we don't! The track slowly builds up until all The Monsoon Bassoon's instruments are involved.

Then suddenly the twin guitars of Kavus and Dan steam through while Jim's drumming is as frantic as ever. Top all this with Sarah making the clarinet screech for it's life and you have The Monsoon Bassoon in all their instrumental glory.

The track doesn't quite match up to the way it came over live the first time I heard it, but it comes very close!

N73 - why... well Seventyseven A was named after a bus - and N73 is, of course, a Stoke Newington Bus. Make sense now? No? Good! Welcome to the world of The Monsoon Bassoon.
