| Just your typical indie guitar band? No chance! They have been likened to a young Nirvana / Sonic Youth / Idlewild / Pavement / Pixies, but forget that... of course they have been influenced by the said bands, but they do their own thing and have pop hooks everywhere. I don't recall seeing a bad review in any "music paper", so why are they still so unknown? The first signing proper on Fierce Panda, and now on Infectious, they soar between radio friendly to sheer noise and feedback. A gem of a band in the toilet of Camden "Indieland". The live experience is something to treasure. |
| News - 12 Aug 03 - I've decided not to continue to update the specific pages with the showcased bands. This is for two reasons... firstly it is extremely time consuming... and secondly all the info you require can be found on the relevant artist websites. When I started these pages many many years ago, most of the bands either had no website, or they were never updated. Nowdays every band has a website so it seems silly to carry on and duplicate the info they already provide. I will of course continue to update their live dates in the gig guide section. |
