It's the same tried and tested format of slowly building pieces interacting with sound clips of people talking, and sound bites. But is it worth spending your money on yet another album that sounds the same as the previous releases? Well yes! Although at first listen it may sound the same as the previous two outings, it is somehow inherently different. Each of the four tracks is just over 20 minutes in length, although each is made up of a number of separate tracks melded together, sometimes seamlessly, sometimes messily. It has the usual trademarked hard to decipher insert (although a lot easier to understand than the previous material that has been packaged.) Each track builds you up and then drops you down, only to slowly build up to another climax. This is the accepted formula from Goodspeed ,and even though has been done by them before, does work. You can try to keep track of each segment, but the best way to listen to this is at a high volume in a dark room, or even on the tube, where you can almost hear the end of the world coming. Powerful - yes. This album and this band have the potential to leave you breathless and exhilarated. This is an essential buy, whether you have the other releases or not. skippy
