Buckley AFB, CO, USA (KBKF) - CO ARNG Deployment, May 2010
Five helicopters and crew from the Colorado Army National Guard G Company 2-135 GSAB left Buckley AFB for Foot Hood, TX on 16 May 2010.
They will later fly to Beaumont, TX and be loaded onto a ship to Kuwait. The crews will be flown to Kuwait to acclimatise and when the helicopters arrive will train there before flying north to Iraq.
The crews will be on a 12 month deployment while the helicopters will typically stay in theatre for upwards of two years.
